The Sydney Roosters club’ is represented as the main circle. The main circle has journey lines which branch out from it. These represent the many community programs that the Roosters are involved.
The Rooster logo outline is overlapping a circle. It represents the strength and support that all areas of Club are. The logo of Sydney Roosters is outlined in dotwork to symbolize the ongoing Indigenous heritage the players, staff, members and officials of the Club.
Below are the totems used by the Indigenous players in the Sydney Roosters. This includes players from the NRL’s Junior Squads. The symbols of land, sea, and sky are represented by the totems.
The footprints and the surrounding area signify the act of dancing, and then kicking up dust. This is Mother Earth’s moving in the womb. This refers to the Roosters as they take to to the field during Indigenous Round 2020.
The symbol of dreams is the red circle with the dots in its centre. It represents our connection to stories, songs, culture and other dreaming symbols. The 15 symbol of meeting (the blue circle) connects together to represent the 15 premierships that the Roosters have won. They are surrounded with symbols that represent land, water, mountains and the journey taken by the team to win each premiership.
The outside of the ball is marked with red dots. These are the supporters, family members and friends who continue to support this game. Tools and weapons are used to represent both women and men members of the Club. Men are represented by the hunting boomerangs’s, woomeras clubs, shield, and Spears. The dilly bags, clapsticks, and digging stick are for the women.
To represent the diversity of our club’s supporters, the use of red, white and blue dot work in different sizes throughout the piece.
